3 Outstanding Malaysian Acts You Should Watch On ‘Asia’s Got Talent 2’
In case you’ve been out of the loop, Asia’s Got Talent has returned to our TV screens for its second season. The variety show gives acts from across Asia to showcase their talent in hopes of winning the grand prize. This year, David Foster and Anggun reprise their roles as judges and welcome rapper Jay Park to the panel. You can catch new episodes of the show every Thursday, 8.30pm on AXN.

So, to get you ready for this Thursday’s episode, here’s a recap of three amazing Malaysian acts that have made it through the show.

#1 Magician Andrew Lee

Illusionist and mentalist, Andrew Lee appeared in the first episode of the season. If you’re looking for an act that will keep you on the edge of your seat and make your stomach churn, this is it. The 31-year-old performed his act with full confidence after literally putting one of the host’s life at stake. His performance impressed the judges which earned him three yeses.

#2 Uncle Alfred Ho

The jovial 68-years-young man appeared on stage with the aid of his wife. Losing his sight from the age of three, uncle Alfred captivated the audiences and judges with his own rendition of ‘Quando, Quando, Quando’. According to several Malaysians, Alfred can be found busking around LRT stations in Klang Valley.

#3 Singer Mafarikha Akhir

The young lass appeared at the very end of episode three because as they say, save the best for last. Determined to make a comeback after failing to see any progress in her singing career in Malaysia, Mafarikha wowed everyone with her own version of Mariah Carey’s hit, Hero. Her performance garnered standing ovations not only from the audience but also all three judges! Clips of her performance have gone viral in Malaysia since the episode premiered.

Don't forget to catch Asia's Got Talent 2 every Thursday, 8.30pm on AXN, Astro Ch.701 or 720 for HD.
