Police arrest trailer driver involved in fatal accident
Police say B Anbalagam, 59, was arrested after he admitted to driving the lorry.
SEREMBAN: Police have arrested the trailer driver involved in a fatal accident at KM270.3 of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) south bound, at about 5pm yesterday.
Nilai police chief, Supt Zaldino Zaludi said the man identified as B Anbalagam, 59, from Bandar Bukit Beruntung Rawang, Selangor, was detained when he appeared at the Traffic Branch of the Nilai Police Headquarters around 4.30pm today.
“He was arrested after he admitted that he was the lorry driver involved in the fatal accident,” he said in a statement here today.
“The suspect will be remanded tomorrow for further investigation and the case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said.
In the incident yesterday two people were killed while three others were injured in a collision involving three cars and a trailer truck.
