The Scariest 90s TV Show ‘Are You Afraid Of The Dark’ Is Getting Its Own Long-Overdue Movie

The show revolved around a bunch of teenagers who call themselves “The Midnight Society” who obviously gathered around midnight in the woods to exchange true horror stories with each other every week (seriously though, where are their parents?!).
Each tale starts off with the declaration of "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story [insert title]” before a member throws some ‘midnight dust’ into the campfire to make the fire bigger.
Honestly, we wanted to re-enact the whole dust throwing part when we were kids.
The show aired from 1990-1996 and was rebooted in 1999 but now, your favourite horror TV show is coming back to life and this time, on the silver screens.
According to Variety, this cult classic will be written by screenwriter Gary Dauberman who wrote mega-blockbuster hits such as It, Annabelle: Creation, and an upcoming movie from the Conjuring extension – The Nun.
With him in tow, we guess this reboot might just be slightly a lot creepier than the original.
We’re looking forward to seeing who will be casted in this revival. Could it feature Ryan Gosling, who once made an appearance in one of the episodes?
Whoever it is, and whatever the storyline may be, we hope the writers and producers won’t cut out one of the most pivotal parts of the series – the ceremonial throwing of the midnight dust.
